lately, I've notice my truck kinda smells. It smells like burning wire insulation, or melting rubber. I 've cut my exhuast down so it dumps right in front of the axle...could this be melting stuff? All my aux. wires are fused, and of sufficent size, so they shouldn't be getting hot. Maybe it's just my imagination, but any ideas on what to check for or look at?

Most of the wire connections are with insulated connectors, and for the most part, don't have heat shrink on them because they are inside. I have got some wires held together as a bundle with tape, might wanna check those.

Didn't think so the parking brake cable, so I'll check that. I'm pretty sure it has to do something with the engine being on, as I was just out vaccuming it out with the radio on and no smell.

Just straight back. I just hacked the exhuast off with a hacksaw about 3" after the muffler.
