Man, I was just going to put the bags in the front of my truck when I hurt my back again!!!! It was sore all week, then Friday, as I was leaving work (after my back felt pretty good all day), I stood up and pain shot up and down my left leg and I just about fell down; would have if I didn't grab the desk. I went to bed last night with the hope that it would feel better, but I woke up in enough pain that I have to take some of the pain killers I have left from the doctor when I first went to him about this two months ago.

This sucks, not only does my back hurt so much that I am laid up in the recliner, but I'm not going to get to bag the front of my truck for at least another week or two!!!!!!! And most likely not in two because Lucy's birthday is the 22, so even if I feel better, it won't be until like November! Fucking bullshit.

I went to a doctor a little over a month or two ago for this. I had physical therapy and I was feeling good, but this week I started feeling crappy again. It culminated Friday with me almost collapsing at work from the pain. I have to call the doctor on Monday so we can see what to do next. What really sucks is not only the excrutiating pain from my back, but the pain of being so close to my goal (or at least working on it) and being denied it. I would work on it through the pain (I'm already hurt), but I don't want to be blinded by the pain and screw up.

One thing that I am wondering: is the stiffer ride from my lowered truck hurting my back? Maybe bagging it might make it feel better!

But I am being good today - which was painful, both physically and mentally; today was the first day in two weeks that it hasn't rained! Beautiful day that I cannot take advantage of.

Invest in a kidney belt?

But that does suck to hear....it's the worst having the parts right there and not being able to do anything about it....hopefully it won't be December before anything is done.

Well, it looks like it is going to be a little longer than I had hoped for me to get to bagging my truck. I just got out of my orthopeadic doctor's appointment and he is passing me along to his back specialist with the prognosis that I will need surgery (again). However, this surgery is totally different than the other one, with only a small (1/4") incision to remove the piece of disc material that is broken off and floating in my spine. It's a simple procedure and recovery is quick. I see the back specialist tomorrow, and should have a date for surgery soon. Honestly, I'm happy to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I'll be back to normal(ish).

That's easier to say than to live! Also, I'm wondering if my rough riding suspension is part of my back's problems - I might have to bag my truck for health reasons!

Talked to the back specialist today. Good news is that he does not want to do surgery right away. He prescribed me a shot for my back (epidoral of an anti-inflammatory into my spine) that I will have done on Friday. So here's hoping it works first off.
