i was just wondering what i could do for a cold air intake. like what brand sells a 3.0L V-6 intake? i looked up k&N, air raid and a few other, but cant find anything.

thats what i do.. primer spray paint.. if you want it to really stick well.. before you spray the primer on.. spray on some adhesion promoter.. you can get that at any automotive paint store.. and as for the spray paint.. you can use awoooooo near any kinda you want..

I just went to meijer and got some automotive paint, sanded the pieces smooth primed it then sprayed it ive also got some clear coat that i plan on spraying on when i get time. For the intake i think you can just use a civic one, there bent about the same but im not sure. Anyone else know anything about using a civic intake?

it's basically right, except you need the maf adaptor, but there's a write-up on how to make one for cheap.

my buddie dynoed his pvc intake versus a k and nFIPK and the pvc one gained like 1 more hp that he k and n lol

dude that is a kick wanus idea about the intake, i have a bunch of pvc lying around from when we rebuilt my house, but one question. how do u build it to fit the bend? and thanx for the painting tips, im going to get on that this winter

the mafadapter is flat piece w/ a circle on it w/ 4 botls to bolt on the maf like your airbox did.... you could get a k&n filter for an f150 and just screw the filter directly to your MAF. thats waht ihad on my 92 3.0 for a while. i think i had to make the hold in the filter a lil bigger but it worked.

you can get one on ebay for like $8 with a cone filter.

look up ford ranger cone filter

and you're bound to find something.

that pvc intake loooks great! wanna make me one for like 10 bucks shipped? j/k it looks good and of course cheap! i like the throttle linkage cover even better. diamond plating is the best!
