hey guys, needsome help. i would like to swap a dependable and quick engine in my 94 ranger. v-8s are out of the question, cant afford to do all the extra engine work an i dont want to pay for gas milage. give me some ideas

83-88 thunderbird turbo coupe

83-86 mustang svo

84-89 merkur

you use your ranger wiring harness also

it would be good to get the whole car, running if possible

pull the motor, computer, distributor and VAM pigtail

you can use computer controlled boost, but why would you want to

you will have to repin the ranger harness for the computer you get out of your donor car

not a ton of work involved but well worth it in the end
look to spend 1500 on everything

and get a good clutch

i got a spec clutch $380

what else would i have to change with my truck. tranny, rear end, ect., what would i have to do?

the stock tranny will work along with the rearend

i am going to eventually upgrade to a 8.8 posi rear end and possibly a T5 tranny after i blow up my ranger one

in my previous post i outlined just about everything you need and need to do

once rangerpowersports.com comes back up there is a 2.3 Turbo board on there and they can give you come more info on it

very easy swap, just do a ton of research

once RPS comes back up seach on the 2.3 Turbo board and you will find answers
