how do u get the second line of the gas tank. not the one with the plastic peice the other one

its a special tool u get from the parts store prob 5 bux for it. 5/16 quick disconnect tool for a ford :)

haha now I know why your title said how the F###. You have to have a fuel line disconnect tool for that , it looks like the type of fitting on fuel filters, you should be able to get it at most auto parts stores for under $10 here is a pic

and just to let you know even with that tool it will be a pain, I believe the size you will need is 5/16 but I could be wrong, if you have a Ranger Repair Manual it should be able to tell you good luck.

snap on sells that one, i like my OTC one tho, its simialr to the one baha posted, but not as flimsy.

also the metal clip that is over the fitting comes right off, it's just a safety clip

yea pop it off w/ a screw driver, if theres any dirt buildup, clean it offw/ brake cleaner and u got push the line in as you push the tool in then pop it off.
